Lea is a Child of the Universe. She is a singer, songwriter, parent, teacher, and perpetual student. Having performed extensively in the US and Europe, Lea has shared the stage with artists including Odetta, Mavis Staples, Dar Williams, and Anthony Hamilton. This frequent nominee at “The Wammies” (Washington Area Music Association), has won multiple awards in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, has taken Grand Prize in the Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Contest, and has graced the stage at John F. Kennedy Center.
Over the last twenty years, Lea has become more intimately involved in the DC area’s New Thought and Ethical communities. Look for her to facilitate creative, interactive, intergenerational musical experiences in Centers for Spiritual Living, Unity, Unitarian, and Presbyterian places of worship. From concerts to sing-alongs, songwriting workshops to kids’ music playshops, Lea has done it all. It is her intention to expand that service and to share creativity across the country and the globe.
